The MG Electric Vehicle owners club was founded as a Facebook group
in May 2019 by James Coates, an EV enthusiast and EV engineer from the Midlands.
The website (created by Melissa Briggs) was launched in August 2020, along with an Instagram feed. The Twitter feed is regularly updated with EV news and MG interesting pics and facts.
In September 2022, the (virtual) club has over 9,500 members in 99 countries - reflecting the
astonishing acceleration in the popularity of the 5* NCAP rated MG ZS EV and
the launch of the MGSW5 and updated long range versions. We are the third largest single marque EV owners club online.

TotallyEV's verdict on the MGZSEV "... a fascinating car. The most affordable all electric, family sized vehicle on the market."
James is a keen reviewer and has many ZSEV and MG5 videos on his YouTube channel. Here are a few of them.

Where we are now |
The MG ZS EV was launched at the London Motor Show in May 2019, and further shown at the first EV Festival at the British Motor Museum in July 2019. (Approximately 14,000 of them are cruising the UK in mid 2022, with more in Costa Rica, France, Norway, the Netherlands, India, Israel and Thailand. The MG5 is now being delivered in quantity - there are about 2,500 in the UK already.) In August 2020, we had 3,000 members on our Facebook Group.

In September 2022, we have a flourishing Facebook group of over 9,500, over 1,400 followers on Twitter, and over 650 on Instagram, and we are hoping that our website will answer the majority of everyone's questions - especially those embarking on their first foray into owning an EV. We don't think you will regret it. The overwhelming majority of the MGEVOC are very positive about their cars and there is a huge buzz about the imminent arrival of the MG4.
